My very best vacation trip
Hi, folks!
How was your vacation? I miss you a lot, you know, but I'm sure you're having a great time with Kátia. How was your July vacation? Did you take the trip of your dreams?
I didn't because I didn't have a vacation.
I've taken a lot of exciting trips in my life, and it was hard to choose my best vacation trip ever, but I chose the one I'm going to talk about because it was exciting, adventurous, and challenging, not a regular trip at all!
My husband, my two daughters and I went to Patagônia on our last vacation in January. Our final destination was Ushuaia, but we visited many many beautiful places along the way. Besides Ushuaia, the place I liked the most was Torres del Paine, a park in Chile with an extraordinary scenery and many hiking trails. We went on the shortest one, a seven-hour trail! We camped there and we just loved it!
We drove 18,000 km in one month, traveling a triangle from Brasília to Ushuaia on the Atlantic Coast, and then driving up the Pacific coast to Santiago, from where we headed back. It was my best vacation trip ever because it was a trip in which I visited many beautiful places I had never heard much about and in which I wore jeans and tennis shoes the whole time. It's rewarding to do something challenging, to take a trip that few people would have the energy to take, especially with two teens.
And you? What is the best vacation trip you've ever taken? It doesn't have to be a trip like mine. Sometimes a trip to Pirinópolis with the right people is better than any fancy trip. Just tell us about it!
