IMPROVED
The first day of classing at the 8° grade, I remember that I was late and my friends said to me ‘Júlia, are you crazy? How can you get late at Iomar's class? ‘And I couldn't understand but I did after a few minutes. Iomar was apparently an authoritarian, serious and boring teacher, but I was wrong, and my friends were wrong too. The history teacher became an Idol for me and for my friends.
In fact, Iomar was kind of methodical and he was not authoritarian he just wanted us to be involved with his subject and with the others too, because of him I learned how to study. No one used to say a word in his classes because the respect, that his voice and eyes expressed. However, the interesting way, he gave the class was the strong cause of the silence.
Iomar was worried and careful about his students. He usually gave important speeches that were not about history, but about life. He taught me much more than subject. Iomar valorized the students that really wanted to study and took the class seriously. That's way he was so admired for the students, you could see in his eyes that he was not there because of an obligation he loved give classes
In short, I've discovered an incredible person. An involved, good, patient person, that's why he was the most applauded teacher in our graduate party. I wish he was my teacher forever, maybe one day it will happen.

Cristóvão Colombo was born in Italy in 1451. Since his childhood he was a brilliant cartography. In the Navigations times, Portugal followed the way to India by Africa, Colombo thought in a new rote to India, by the occident but he needed someone to support and attend his theory.
After six years, he finally found support on King Fernando and Queen Isabel, of Spain and parted to the ocean in 1442 in a very simple ship, Santa Maria. He followed his direction to Canarias Islands where the crew of a ship stayed for a while. But the crew was really tired.
The ship crew told Colombo that if they did not find lands in three days they would come back to Europe. On the third day they found a couple of Islands, and they believed that they were in India, they became disappointed because "India" was so different from Portuguese descriptions. Where were the spices? Where was the Calicut wonderful city?
After do the same trip four times, Colombo gave up. Ill and disappointed for not found a new rote to India, Colombo died without knew what he had ''discovered" would change the maps and the humanity history.

Friendship never ends
I first met Vanessa when we were both eleven years old, in skating class. We became friends to fast and we discovered that my father and her uncle were friends. We didn't' studied at the same school and I left skating, It could had been the end of the friendship.
Nonetheless we didn't let the friendship end, and in 2006 she came to Sigma the school I was going in that year and our friendship grown up even we've been very different, for example, I love pink and she black, I listen POP music, and she listens metal, she likes boys with long hair and I hate. In fact we don't have many things in common but I love her as a sister. We spend many moments together, we laughed and cried together, she knows all my secrets and I think I know all her secrets too.
My friendship with Chany (Vanessa's nickname) it's about trust, during the time we've been friends I had my others friends, but I know that she is a real friend. We never had a fight, she always support me and I always support her too, she always helped me when I needed.
.It's very good to know that you can count with somebody who really understands you. Maybe we follow different ways but I feel we will be friends forever even we never met again. Like the Spice Girls music ‘Friendship never ends'.

Traveling to europe without you parents !
Last vacation I went to
We went by plane, and it was really fun we watched movies, played games and listened to music. I stayed at Amanda's mother's house. It was a very good place because it's a home and not a hotel, was like being in my own home.
Every day we also visit wonderful places, at Portugal you can find paradise beaches, castles, medieval cities, clubs to dance, it's also a very good place to go shopping because things are really cheaps and different from what you buy in Brazil. And I spent my birthday there, in Óbidos Castle wich was happening a medieval fair, and I just can't describe how perfect this was. I and Amanda planed this trip together months earlier, we were counting the daysto go but it was better that what we had already plan. I can't remember a real problem during this trip, juts a few words that have a different meaning in Portugal and It was really fun.
I evaluate my whole experience during this vacation as a good experience to learn about a country that made what our country is today .I behave myself during this vacation as a traveler because one month living with native people I really learned a lot about the country and culture, visited places not usually people go. I learned being more responsible , because my parents weren't there to orient me so I had to make things by myself.

Soccer Players Salaries - IMPROVED
Big soccer players usually have their names associated with beautiful women, very expensive cars and money, a lot of money. Why? Because they make a lot of money playing. David Beckaham, for example, makes $32 million dollars a year. Ronaldo $23 million a year. I think it's too much money for one person.
It's unfair when you live in a world in which 850 000 000 people don't have anything to eat and 37 000 000 are so poor that they don't have your own house. These salaries are very, very big. Of course, the salaries are not the cause of these problems, but if you stop to think, a person who gives all this money to a soccer player could think better and help someone who really needs this money.
Other jobs like a teacher, a doctor our a policeman that are indispensable for the society, many times are not valued and these people that work so hard to improve our country don't make what they deserve, while soccer players are running behind a ball and making millions. It is not fair.
On the other hand soccer players could bring entertainment, happiness but I think helping a person is much more satisfactory than seeing your soccer team winning a game. So people should think better about what is really important.
As a conclusion, I think soccer players have they merit and their value but there are things and jobs that have more importance.
