My favorite teacher

Last year, I had the amazing chance to have classes with Ronaldo at Casa Thomas Jefferson. At first, I thought he was serious, because he was very organized. In addition, I knew he was intelligent and a good teacher, because Isabella, the supervisor, had already talked about him. Although he wasn't serious, my others first impressions weren't wrong.

Ronaldo had all the qualities that I admire in a teacher. He knew exactly how to have our attention in every moment, because instead of just passing the content, he used to do extra activities about this and talk about the topic in a funny way. He was very fun, outgoing and friendly. My friend and me used to stay talking to him at all free moment we had. This way, he became really important for us and we started to consider him our favorite teacher.

When the semester was finishing, I became worried, because I knew that I would miss him a lot. Coincidently, his birthday was in the same day of the final party and it gave me and my friend one idea. We started to prepare a gift and in the last class we gave it to him. Our intention was to make him remember us. This way, we gave a box with a little letter and many stupid, but representative things.

In short, I started to like to go to Thomas because of him and, even he isn't my teacher now, I still meet him. Nowadays, we don't talk about English, but chat with him is always good.

Genial solution

A few years ago, I used to dance ballet at a very good place that always makes a big show at the end of the year. Once, the owner of the academy invited a famous dancer from "Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro". Also, he is very talented and he can do some unbelievable things.

The show had happened twice, on Saturday and on Sunday. Nobody could contest his performance at the first day, he had danced in an impeccable way. Probably because of that we was more relaxed on Sunday. He started the choreography doing everything like planned, but there was an extremely difficult step.

The dancer was supposed to do many pirouettes (one classical acrobatics) successively. In fact, he did some, but at the last he fell down. Althought, in the same moment, he came up with a genial idea. Instead of stopping the dance, he altered the choreography doing another step immediately. This way, no one noted his mistake.

After his presentation, he felt a litlle sad with the happening, but he was professional enough to go ahead and forgot what had just happened, even because he had saved himself of embarassment. In addition, he might had lived that situation many times in his life as dancer.

An unusual girl

When I saw Luiza for the first time, I couldn't imagine how closer we would get in a few months and, even I have met her this year, I can say she is one of my best friends. We have studied in the same classroom since the beginning of the year, but we really became friends when we started to sit closer. Probably because we both talk a lot, we started to know each other very well and I realized that she is a very unusual person that has many uncommon principles.

Although we have many different ideas, we are compatible because what I most like her is her maturity combined with her good humor, maybe the only thing we have in common. Luiza is a religious person, what makes her very generous. She usually says that she doesn't want to date before the university, and she would want it to be a serious relationship. I really admire her, but I disagree with these ideals because I think people have to enjoy their life the best they can and I think her ideas are kind of unreal. In addition, she loves to go to the church and she likes musics that I dislike. For example, she plays violin.

We rarely meet out of school, but it is just a lack of opportunity because she is an outgoing girl too. We talk about everything, sometimes stupid things, other times serious things and, principally, about our life. I have the conviction that I can always count on her, just like she can. Anyway, in a few months we have already had a lot of unforgettable moments, and it doesn't matter if they were happy or not because being with her is always a good sensation.

Concluding, I have learned a lot with her because she taught me that you can live with happiness even doing only calm activities. She showed me the importance of respect. Luiza is a friend that I want to have for all my life and I couldn't imagine she would be such a close friend.

A simple, but a nice trip

I have never traveled to many places. In addition, the best trip that I have done wasn't exactly a trip. Last year, I went to Mestre D'armas, a very simple and comfortable hotel because of my friend's fifteen birthday. I really thought that it would be fun, but I didn't imagine how special it would be.

I went with my six best friends and we spent just one weekend there. We wanted to enjoy the maximum we could, so we went just after the classes. The way wasn't long, only two hours by car, so it was fine. We talked and laughed a lot.

When we arrived there, we changed our clothes as fast as we could and went to the swimming pool, this way we stayed all day. At night, we took a shower and went for a little tour in the area of the hotel. Then, we found an interesting and lonely park with a little table and there we spent all the night. On Saturday and Sunday, we enjoyed all the things the hotel offered like rappel, riding horse and some games. Also, we tried to make new friends, but there weren't many teenagers there. In general, we had no problems, the trip was good every moment.

I liked and had fun all the weekend and became closer of the six girls. I behaved as a tourist because I just did the most common things there, even it was a simple place. Concluding, it was an unforgetable trip and I would love to go there again.

Soccer players' salaries

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, maybe because it can be really exciting if you root seriously for a team or because it can be played at any street. There are many fanatic people, who deposit all their faith on it. That way, soccer players have been acclaimed like a god and their salaries are increasingly high. I really think they make too much money for what they do.

The first reason for me is that many people study all their lifes, do a lot of courses and work hard for gain only 1% of what soccer players earn in one month. It's unfair because be a star of the soccer depends of your talent and, consequently, your lucky and, in my opinion, money and recognition should come with effort.

In addition, there are people that don't have even what to eat and people like soccer players earning too much money. I mean that their job isn't necessary for the humanity and they must use their money profitably, like helping poor and sick people.

Many people can say that there isn't any problem because their salaries are comparable to salaries of other professions, like actors or basketball players. However, I don't think it's a valuable argument, because it only proves that there are a lot of unfair salaries.

To conclude, I think that their job should be recognized and acclaimed, because the population loves soccer. But their salaries could be smaller, since it is an easy and not useful work.
